Pre MTC days in Utah (08/10 - 08/14)

Friday after massive flight delays, was picked up at the Salt Lake City airport by Tommy Hirschi (an Elder who served in Easton last year and that I consider to be one of my best friends) and his wife Calee. We drove to Hurricane, Utah to watch Tommy's younger sister compete in a soccer tournament.

Saturday split the day between helping a different sister move and going on a hike in Zion National Park. It is really beautiful here, called home and told my parents that they really should look into moving to Hurricane (don't think my dad will go for it because it was 104 here but know that my mom would love it).

Sunday after Church ate lunch with Hirschi family and said our goodbye and drove back to Salt Lake to my grandparents' (John and Ann Spears - they really live in South Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake).

Monday was spent sightseeing with my grandparents and visiting with extended family in the area. Saw quite a bit but realize that there is so much more to see, will have to come back in 2014.

Tuesday was given the opportunity to attend a live endowment session in the Salt Lake City Temple by my grandparents. It was a wonderful experience and one that few people who don't live in Utah get the opportunity to experience.
